Captured by Grace: No One is Beyond the Reach of a Loving God by Dr. David Jeremiah

Captured by Grace: No One is Beyond the Reach of a Loving God, by Dr. David Jeremiah.

Ever feel like God is pursuing you or trying to get your attention? Well, God is trying to get your attention. Why does he want to get your attention? It’s because he wants to give you the gift of his grace. Grace, an incredible gift indeed, ever thought about that word before or just what it implies? Dr. David Jeremiah delves right into this concept in his book Captured by Grace: No One is Beyond the Reach of a Loving God. Using one of the probably best known, well loved hymns of all times, Amazing Grace, and a look at it's author, John Newton's life paralleled with the life of and scriptures written by the apostle Paul as a framework to unfold just what exactly God's grace is for us.

Filled with vivid, descriptive text, illustrative stories and solidly grounded in the scripture this book will change your understanding and perspective at some degree for every one, as to what grace is, and how God works. It was a slow read for me but a good one as it is packed with Biblical teachings and truths. My understanding of God's word grew it seemed with pretty much each turn of the page. I know that this will be a reference book that I turn back to time and time again, not just a one time read.

I received a free copy of this book through Thomas Nelson Publishing’s Book Sneeze book review program. The opinions expressed in this review are my own and I was not required to provide a positive review.

  1. Thanks for the review. I'll have to check on this David Jeremiah and see what else he's written - and then look into this book. (I always like to do that with authors.) :-)
